Egyptian presidential election, 2012

alt A presidential election will be held in Egypt on 23 and 24 May 2012 (with a run-off on 16 and 17 June 2012, if necessary). It will be the second presidential election in Egypt's history with more than one candidate, following the 2005 election, and the first presidential election after the 2011 Egyptian revolution during the Arab Spring.
