Gendered Impacts of Globalization: Employment & Social Protection

A paper entitled “Gendered Impacts of Globalization: Employment & Social Protection” has been published by United Nations – Research Institute for Social Development.
It reviews evidence on how key aspects of globalization processes have impacted the real economy, in terms of employment and social conditions of work for women and men across a wide range of countries.

This paper was commissioned by the UK Department for International Development (Dfid) as an independent piece of research with the aim of feeding into the 2012 World Development Report on gender equality, and informing Dfid’s own programming.

Un document intitulé «Impacts de la mondialisation en terme de genre : l'emploi et protection sociale» a été publié par les Nations Unies - Institut de recherche pour le développement social.
Il passe en revue la façon dont les principaux aspects du processus de mondialisation ont eu des répercussions sur l'économie réelle, en termes d'emploi et de conditions sociales de travail pour les femmes et les hommes à travers un large éventail de pays.

Ce document a été commandé par le ministère britannique du Développement international (UK Department for International Development, Dfid)comme une pièce indépendante de recherche dans le but de nourrir le rapport 2012 sur le développement mondial en matière d'égalité entre les sexes, et d'informer sur la propre programmation du DFID.
