CAWTAR, several meetings for “Young Women and Political Participation in Tunisia: informal mobilizat

A validation workshop will be held 18 May, 2012 in Tunis with the aim to present, discuss and evaluate the primary results of the study “Young Women and Political Participation in Tunisia: informal mobilization and institutional participation pacing the way for future actions” funded by the Canadian IDRC (International Development Research Center).
In the framework of the same project, some coordination meetings will be held 1-2 June 2012 in Tunis. It is organised in the framework of CAWTAR .
At last, on 23 November 2012 CAWTAR will launch in Tunis the press conference to present the research “Young Women and Political Participation in Tunisia: informal mobilization and institutional participation pacing the way for future actions“. A diversified group of people interested in women’s political participation will be invited to the press conference.

CAWTAR, which is a founder partner of Mediter network, was created on March 7, 1993, in response to the request of a number of Arab governments and civil society organizations and institutions. CAWTAR is committed to the empowerment of women based on human rights and gender principles.

Un atelier de validation se tiendra le 18 mai 2012 à Tunis dans le but de présenter, discuter et évaluer les principaux résultats de l'étude «Les jeunes femmes et la participation politique en Tunisie: la mobilisation informelle et de la participation institutionnelle ouvrant la voie à des actions futures», financée par le IDCR du Canada (International Development Research Centre).

Dans le cadre du même projet, des réunions de coordination se tiendront les 1er et 2 Juin 2012 à Tunis. Il sont organisés par CAWTAR.

Enfin, le 23 Novembre 2012 CAWTAR lancera à Tunis la conférence de presse pour présenter la recherche « Les jeunes femmes et la participation politique en Tunisie: la mobilisation informelle et de la participation institutionnelle ouvrant la voie à des actions futures». Un groupe diversifié de personnes intéressées par la participation politique des femmes sera invité à la conférence de presse.

CAWTAR, qui est un partenaire fondateur du réseau Mediter, a été créé le 7 Mars 1993, en réponse à la demande d'un certain nombre de gouvernements, d'organisations de la société civile et d'institutions arabes. CAWTAR s'est engagé au renforcement des femmes fondé sur les droits de l'homme et des principes entre les sexes.
